Very nicely done! I like the overhead view above as Jun jumps between cranes, and how the wind and rain tear at the camo scarf around his neck. I must say, you certainly have a good visualization of depicting the frames at the right angle!
I keep looking at these pages and can't help but want to whistle. You've got some serious skills. I'm not just saying that to stroke your ego, there's enough devaints probably doing that already. Digital art has a way of blending into the crowd of other digital art, but you have worked with it in a way that I can clearly see a voice. When I see a piece on the front page or in my deviation notices with art featuring Halo I can usually tell from the thumbnail alone that this particular piece belongs to levihoff. Photoshop and other computer programs have lots of tools to help make pieces look 'professional' even if is a crappy drawing underneath. Quite clearly you have enough experience with light, value, perspective, anatomy, to put weight underneath the digital layer of 'professional looking'. I think this is why you've gained so much support from growing fans. (awesome story aside)
Keep up the great work and sorry for the long comment.
No, thank you. Those are some very kind and encouraging words. I try really hard, even though I'm working digitally, not to make the art scream 'hey I made this with a computer'. As I get better, the more I want "how did I make this?" to be a mystery.
